Martina Mara Nominated as “Austrian of the Year”

As a robot psychologist, she is by no means a therapist for WALL-E, Terminator & Co. No, she and her team at the LIT Robopsychology Lab conduct research on how robots and artificial intelligent systems have to be designed so that they are more user-friendly and thus considered more trustworthy, secure. Once they can be better understood, people may not feel dominated by smart technologies.

Martina Mara (LIT Robopsychology Lab, opens an external URL in a new window) has now been nominated for Austrian of the Year. A total of 30 women and men – all of whom have demonstrated exceptional creative energy, courage to drive innovation and social commitment – have been nominated in six categories and the winner will be selected by the public.
