Univ. Prof. Olaverri will conduct research in the area of "Sustainable Transport Logistics 4.0". Hailing from Spain, Univ. Prof. Olaverri studied Computer Science, Computational Linguistics and Phonetics at the LMU in Munich. Her doctoral thesis focused on localizing and internationalizing driver information systems. She has conducted research and taught in Portugal, the USA, Germany and Austria and has worked for companies including BMW in the field of research and technology. She has received numerous awards and accolades for her work, including the IEEE Meritorious Achievement (2017), the Certificate of Appreciation Special Session Intelligent Cooperative Driving, and Autonomous Connected Vehicles (2016).
