New Strategies for Museums and Tourism

An international project focuses on digitization strategies for museums and tourism.

The Tourism Management MBA program at the JKU is collaborating with the Upper Austria Museum Association and the College of Polytechnics Jilhava (CZ) on a digitization strategy for museums and tourism. A key part of the project includes the continual education, cross-border seminar "Museum and Tourism" designed to focus on digitization in (cultural) tourism. The seminar is aimed particularly at organizations in cultural tourism environments, such as museums, galleries and similar institutions.

Although this Czech-Austrian INTERREG project was planned for 2021, academic employees at the College of Polytechnics Jilhava (Vysoká škola polytechnická Jihlava) have already taken part in online seminars as part of the Tourism Management MBA program at the Johannes Kepler University Linz.
