The Posthof stage was inundated with live music, fog, and lighting effects: Presentations ranged from the art of atom sieving, complex flow calculations, unexpected challenges at an intimate dinner in Taiwan, and microsensors for knee joints to legally tricky questions, and is a light saber really an illegal weapon? At the end of the evening, the JKU’s own Nikolaus Doppelhammer was crowned the Upper Austrian Science Slam champion. He succeeds JKU Günter Auzinger who brought both the national and European Science Slam title to the JKU last year.

Science Slam presentations by JKU faculty members Edit Juhasz, Mirko Javurek and Erwin Reichl also impressed the audience.
