One of the Second Republic's largest projects to provide compensation for property seized by Nazis during the war came to an end in September 2015. The final report for the General Settlement Fund for Victims of National Socialism was presented to its Board of Trustees, including the Presidium of the National Council, representatives of all parliamentary parties and the federal government, victims' associations, and representatives from various religious communities.

An article in a newly published book (Helmut Waldl: Quotenprognose und statistische Risikoanalyse für die Auszahlungen des Allgemeinen Entschädigungsfonds für Opfer des Nationalsozialismus) focuses how fund payments were handled and processed with assistance provided by the institute. The JKU institute's estimate of payment quotas made it possible to determine advance payment quotas, which meant that the majority of the elderly applicants were compensated in a timely manner.
