The Austrian Competence Center for Sustainability is an organization of experts seeking to identify and support sustainable development solutions for businesses, the economy and society. Seeking to support companies and institutions implementing the UN Agenda 2030, the Center has now just appointed Univ. Prof. Reinhold Lang (Institute of Polymeric Materials and Testing) as a member for a two-year term beginning on December 19.

Prof. Lang’s appoint is no coincidence: He recently won the Austrian and European solar award EUROSOLAR in recognition of his outstanding research in solar energy, particularly sustainable energy projects. The 2018 award was presented to Prof. Lang for his SolPol project at the world’s largest pre-competitive research initiative about polymer innovation for solar technology.
