German-language newspapers ("Die Presse", "Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung" and "Neue Zürcher Zeitung") recently released the 8^th annual list of the most influential economic researchers of the year but made an initial mistake by not including Emeritus JKU economist Prof. Friedrich Schneider in the ranking. As part of a corrected version, he has now been ranked 7^th in the list. Prof. Schneider, particularly well-known for his work focusing on the shadow economy and work done ‘under the table’, remarked: "I am particularly pleased to have ranked third in the category of Academia/Science."
