Systems based on artificial intelligence (AI) are the new team members of the future. They are being designed to actively assist people at work, particularly by providing high flexibility when manufacturing individual products in batch size 1. People should not only be able to trust their "artificial" co-workers, but communicate effectively with them as well. To this end, the Software Competence Center Hagenberg (SCCH) has launched and will lead an international research project titled TEAMING.AI. Together with top European partners in research and industry, the visionary concept will be executed and illustrated by means of demonstrators in the fields of quality inspection, machine diagnostics and accident prevention.

Supported by the Upper Austrian government, the three-year EU Horizon 2020 project has a budget of € 5.7 million. The Software Competence Center Hagenberg Ltd. (SCCH) is an independent, Austrian software research center and works closely with the JKU in a collaborative capacity.
