The application process to take part in the fourth annual Moot Court in Antitrust Law organized by the Austrian Federal Competition Authorities together with the law firm DORDA and ELSA (European Law Students' Association) was very competitive.

Students had to demonstrate their rhetorical skills and legal expertise in front of a fictitious antitrust court. This year’s topic focused on antitrust issues related to the selective distribution of tablets. The distribution agreements included a rebate system and an online platform through which a manufacturer uses an algorithm to collect sales information and, using another algorithm, individualizes price recommendations.

The Linz team triumphed, thanks to the support of attorneys at Hintermayer Burgstaller & Partner.
