Surgeon Dr. Manfred Schmidt Receives Habilitation/Post-Doc
Schmidt was presented with his venia docendi diploma in the subject area of "Plastics, Aesthetics, and Reconstructive Surgery".
With his family present, Vice-Rector Dr. Elgin Drda and Prof. Andreas Gruber, Dean of Research, presented OA Dr. Manfred Schmidt with his habilitation/post-doc diploma on March 31, 2021, congratulating him warmly on his achievements in the subject area of "Plastics, Aesthetics, and Reconstructive Surgery". Schmidt’s post-doc dissertation is titled "Fundamentals, Technical Advances and New Clinical Applications of Perforator Flaps in Reconstructive Surgery".
About Priv.-Doz. Dr. Manfred Schmidt:
After earning his doctorate degree in 2004, Priv. Doz. Dr. Manfred Schmidt studied medicine at the Medical University of Vienna and subsequently worked as an assistant physician for anatomy and cell biology at the University of Vienna. He has been a senior physician at the Department of Plastic Surgery at the Kepler University Hospital since 2012 and holds university lectures in the field of "Hand and Microsurgery" at the JKU’s Faculty of Medicine.
