The JKU enjoys a spontaneous recognition rate of 88% in Upper Austria and a supported recognition rate of 98%. Our fellow citizens are also particularly proud of their university. 78% of those surveyed indicated that the JKU has a very good or good reputation. Only Montan University of Leoben received a marginally better rating (80%). Among those surveyed, no other Austrian university enjoys a particularly high standard of quality as the JKU. JKU Rector Meinhard Lukas considers this: "… a great compliment from our fellow countrymen and women for each and every JKU employee."
