On December 3, 2019, the Austrian Academy of Sciences (ÖAW) presented its highest awards for outstanding achievement in research (category of philosophy-history) at the ÖAW’s ceremony hall. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thomas Bieber (Institute for Financial Law, Tax Law and Tax Policy, JKU) was presented with the Gustav Figdor Award for Law in recognition of his outstanding post-doc thesis titled "Der Einfuhrumsatz". The award was presented by the president of the philosophical-historical category, Univ. Prof. Dr. phil. Oliver Jens Schmitt.
