The Faculty of Law mourns the death of Hon.Prof. Dr. Kurt Heller, who passed away at the age of 81 on April 1, 2020, after a long and serious illness. As much as his condition allowed him to, Prof. Heller served as an enthusiastic and inspiring professor of public law. In 2001, the Johannes Kepler University presented Kurt Heller with the title of honorary professor in recognition of his outstanding achievements, his work as a long-standing member of the Constitutional Court, and his unwavering commitment to education. We will always remember Prof. Heller as an exceptional individual, in person as well as professionally.
