Excellence

ERC Grants

High-risk, pioneering research has paid off in the past ten years for a number of renowned JKU researchers as they have received highly coveted grants awarded by the European Research Council (ERC).  Researchers receive approximately between € 1.5 to € 2.5 million for a five-year period.  ERC grants are awarded to leading junior, internationally known, recognized, and established researchers.
