Dive into the world of chemistry and polymers! The JKU Open Lab is a hands-on place to learn more about conducting research and experiments. Bring your whole class and embark on an adventure.
The JKU Open Lab is a hands-on place where kids, teens, and anyone else interested can learn more about the world of chemistry and polymers. By conducting simple experiments, students understand more about what food, colors, clothing, cleaning agents, and even cosmetics have to do with chemistry and what - from a chemical point of view - is behind it and how it make our lives easier and better.
Children and teens acquire experience through hands-on exercises and can sharpen their observation skills and understanding of water, air, carbon dioxide, paints or polymers. The lab has been designed to spark an interest in research starting from a young age, support natural curiosity and motivate more advanced students to learn more about chemistry. Students are taught by trained educators who are passionate about their work.
