JKU Open Lab.

Dive into the world of chemistry and polymers! The JKU Open Lab is a hands-on place to learn more about conducting research and experiments. Bring your whole class and embark on an adventure.

The JKU Open Lab is a hands-on space where kids, teens, and anyone else interested can learn more about the world of chemistry and polymers. By conducting simple experiments, students acquire a stronger understanding about what food, colors, clothing, cleaning agents, and even cosmetics have to do with chemistry and what - from a chemical point of view - is behind it, and how it make our lives easier and better.

Children and teens acquire experience through hands-on exercises and can sharpen their observation skills and understanding of water, air, carbon dioxide, paints or polymers. The lab has been designed to spark an interest in research starting from a young age, support natural curiosity and motivate more advanced students to learn more about chemistry. Students are taught by trained educators who are passionate about their work.
