The program consists of 9 Friday-afternoon workshops held during the school year and provides insight into the diverse field of electronics & information technology. Participants must complete a minimim of 6 workshops. 3 workshops focus on topics in mechatronics and can also be completed, if interested. Each workshop starts with a lecture explaining the basics and then continues with a hands-on section. These were the workshops for the 2019/2020 academic year:

The JKU Young Scientists program "Electronics & Information Technology" was designed especially for students at AHS schools (upper level) interested in electronic circuits and programming and interested in potentially pursuing a degree in the field. We also welcome students from other types of schools!

PLEASE NOTE: The starting event for all participants will take place on Novembrer 20, 2020. You will get detailed information about the program as well as have an opportunity to talk to with company representatives offering a summer internship.

During the kick-off event on November 20, 2020, you can talk with company representatives and submit a CV to apply for a paid summer internship at a company in Upper Austria or at a JKU institute. The respective partner companies and/or JKU institutes will select their interns. If accepted, you can start your internship once you have attended a minimum of 4 out of the 5 workshops in the JKU Young Scientists program for Electronics & Information Technology.
