The Náboj International Mathematics Team Competition has been held in Czechia, Hungary, Poland, Slovenia, and Germany for many years and has a long-standing tradition in these countries. In 2015, the Institute for STEM Didactics at the JKU Linz brought the competition to Austria.
Náboj problems are very different from conventional math lesson problems. They require ingenuity, logic, as well as perseverance. Your success in the competition not only depends on each team member's individual abilities, but also on each person's ability to work together as efficiently as possible. Aside from supporting mathematical creativity and logical thinking, the competition aims to teach participants about the beauty of mathematics.
