Credit Transfer/Examination Recognition - Austria

NOTE: Beginning January 1, 2015 the first Diploma degree examination taken at other Austrian universities will no longer be globally recognized.

Guidelines to get credit for examinations taken at other Austrian universities (Diploma degree program in Law)

Application

  1. When filing an application, use AUWEA NG to determine credit transfer.
  2. The application will be approved after a review by the corresponding representative.
  3. The Office of Examination and Recognition Services will issue official notification. You must pick up the original notification letter at the Office of Examination and Recognition Services in person. If you did not upload and send a digitally signed certificate at the time the application was submitted, you will be required to show the original certificate when picking up the notification letter. You can alternatively receive the certificate by mail (RSb) but you must send the original certificate to in advance (i.e., by registered mail).

    Information for MMJUS Students
    MMJus students will always receive notification by post via RSb mail. Separate notification to the Office of Examinations and Recognition Services is not necessary. Notification will be sent as soon as the original or the digitally signed certificate of an application for credit transfer is available. The original certificate will be returned via registered mail.
