This theatrical narrative takes on an adventurous journey around the globe across different historical eras by means of acting as well as shadow and visual theater.

Together with the knowledgeable travel guide, Owl (who is not only embossed on ancient Athenenian coins but is also on today's Greek euro coin), the audience encounters wealthy King Croesus and the legendary King Midas, travels to China (where there was paper money long before it existed in Europe), learn about various types of payment ranging from cowries to beans, skins, and other strange items, follow the trade routes, and finally discover the exciting money trail up to cashless payments and cryptocurrencies.

There are countless questions along the way and Owl invites the audience to seek out for potential explanations and answers themselves...
