Professor for Pathology and Molecular Pathology.

The Faculty of Medicine at the Johannes Kepler University Linz invites applications for a full-time employment position under private law for a Professor for Pathology and Molecular Pathology to begin immediately. The appointment procedure is in accordance with §98 of the 2002 Austrian Universities Act. A faculty performance review will be conducted after a five-year period.

The successful candidate will be expected to professionally represent and further develop research, teaching and health/patient care in its full depth and breadth and continue to further develop the area. The professorship requires managing the Clinical Institute for Pathology and Molecular Pathology. The management position is limited to a 5-year term.

Applicants for the position must have a post-doctorate (venia docendi) degree (or comparable post-doctorate/habilitation qualifications) in the field above. See the job profile in the info box on the right for a detailed description of the position.

The appointment commission also includes two representatives from the Kepler University Hospital Ltd. These representatives hold an advisory position. As part of the appointment procedure, the JKU also reserves to right to assess the prospective applicant’s qualifications during an on-site visit of the workplace.

The prospective candidate will be offered a salary in accordance with the collective agreements of universities (pay grade A1). Salary can be negotiated in lieu of additional qualifications and professional experience. The management at the Kepler University Hospital will hold talks and negotiations in compliance with Austrian service and salary law.
