In accordance with § 94 Sec. 2 subpara. 1 of the Austrian Universities Act, the Faculty of Engineering & Natural Sciences at the Johannes Kepler University Linz announces a tenured faculty opening for a University Professor for Artificial Intelligence

The Faculty of Engineering & Natural Sciences at the Johannes Kepler University Linz invites applications for a private law employment position as a

Professor for Artificial Intelligence

to begin immediately. The appointment is in accordance with § 98 of the 2002 Universities Act. A faculty performance review will be conducted after a four-year period.

The professorship position should focus on the development, design, and implementation or on the theory of Artificial Intelligence methods. The full breadth of Artificial Intelligence is to be understood and can include both practical and theoretical aspects. The emphasis should be on methodical base-knowledge as well as on specific fields of application.

The applicant’s outstanding academic and scientific reputation and excellence will be given a higher priority that the academic area he/she will represent.

The successful candidate should hold a post-doctorate (Habilitation) in Artificial Intelligence or a comparable, internationally recognized academic degree.

An annual gross salary above the minimum amount of € 71,822.80 as stated in the collective agreement will be voluntarily offered.
