In accordance with § 94 Sec. 1 subpara. 1 of the Austrian Universities Act, the Faculty of Social Sciences, Economics & Business at the Johannes Kepler University Linz announces a faculty opening for a University Professor for Health Psychology.
The Faculty of Social Sciences, Economics & Business at the Johannes Kepler University Linz invites applications for a full-time professorship position for a Professor of Health Psychology to begin immediately. The appointment is in accordance with § 98 of the 2002 Universities Act. A faculty performance review will be conducted after a five-year period.
As part of the academic area of Psychology, the successful candidate will be expected to represent the academic area of Health Psychology, with a strong focus on technology and/or economics in research and teaching. We are looking for a candidate who has documented international expertise in the field and in at least one of the above-mentioned focus areas. The successful candidate should have experience in acquiring external funding and implementing external projects. The candidate should have professional educational experience and show proof of didactic skills (i.e. through course evaluations, courses held in English). The applicant’s research should be compatible with the research activities of other professors at the Institute of Education and Psychology. The successful candidate is expected to actively take part in the new Master’s degree program in Psychology beginning in Winter Semester 2019/2020 (focus: Technology and Economy).

The successful candidate should hold a post-doctorate (Habilitation) in Psychology or comparable, internationally recognized academic qualifications.
An annual gross minimum salary of € 71,822.80 as stated in the collected agreement will be voluntarily offered.
