Professor for Marketing Management.

In accordance with § 94 Sec. 2 subpara. 1 of the Austrian Universities Act, the Faculty of Social Sciences, Economics and Business at the Johannes Kepler University Linz announces a faculty opening for a University Professor for Marketing Management

The Faculty of Social Sciences, Economics and Business at the Johannes Kepler University Linz invites applications for a tenured professorship position under private law for a Professor of Marketing Management to begin immediately. The appointment is in accordance with § 98 of the Austrian Universities Act. An evaluation will follow after a four-year period.

On the basis of having conducted high-quality and sound academic research, the qualified candidate is expected to possess expert understanding and knowledge in the field of marketing (both operational and strategic marketing). In lieu of plans to be actively involved in the field of "Digital Transformation" as a general university focus, we would welcome efforts by the successful candidate to focus on change processes and the implications of the digitization process from the supplier and demand perspective, and be open to interdisciplinary cooperation as part of this academic area. Interdisciplinary and international work experience and publications are required.

The successful candidate should be experienced in applying his/her academic and professional expertise in the field of marketing to real-world business situations and include his/her research findings. The applicant’s ability should be demonstrated by past practical experience in particular as well as by submitting a concept as to how collaboration efforts with companies will be pursued.

Based on academic and professional expertise in marketing, the successful candidate should be in a position to successfully represent all subjects in their entirety at the faculty or business school, including interdisciplinary programs at all educational levels and executive education. The successful candidate is expected to be willing and able to hold university-level courses that have been designed to accommodate large numbers of students.

A salary above the minimum amount as stated in the collective agreement will be voluntarily offered. Depending on the current position (present salary) the annual gross salary will be between €80,000 to € 100,000 (minimum salary as stated in the collective agreement plus voluntary additional payments).
