Professor of Public Law

The successful candidate is expected to represent the academic area of Austrian public law in research and teaching. In the area of education, the successful candidate is expected to coordinate with faculty institutes and actively take part in educating law degree students as part of the on-site degree programs (Diploma degree program in Law, Business Law Bachelor’s program) and the multimedia Diploma degree program in Law. He/she is also expected to assume administrative tasks and duties and exercise independent administration at the university.

The successful candidate should hold a habilitation (venia docendi) degree or a post-doctorate considered equivalent in qualification and scope in the academic area of constitutional law and administrative law. The selection criteria include (a) quality and originality of research in the field of Austrian public law, (b) experience in tertiary education, (c) corresponding academic/scientific presentations and lectures, (d) professional experience, and (e) integration as part of the scientific community.

An annual gross salary above the amount of € 71,822.80 at full-time employment as stated in the collective agreement will be offered.
