We represent over 3,000 employees at the JKU to university management in matters of economic, social, health and cultural affairs.
We represent all university personnel regardless of whether an employee is part-time or full-time, whether the employee is actively working at the university or is on leave, permanently or temporarily employed, or paid through external funds or the global budget. We negotiate works agreements and monitor their compliance and compliance with corresponding laws as well as submit suggestions to improve working conditions and safety. In addition, we have a say in workplace design and in many personnel matters (such as dismissal, transfer, ...). We must be informed by the employer in regards to all matters regarding an employee.
In order to fulfill our duties and responsibilities, we rely on information provided to us by university personnel!
... contact us if you have any questions about your work at the university.
All Works Council members are obliged to confidentiality by law! You can decide whether or not the Works Council may disclose any personal and/or confidential information you have provided.

Elections are held every five years (next general Works Council elections and the next Academic Council election will be in 2020): If you are a part of general employees or academic employees at the University of Linz, you elect the person who represents your interests.
Please take advantage of your right to vote! It is not only important who you elect as a Works Council member, but also how much support the Works Council receives from all employees!
