Code of Conduct

The Department of International Management seeks to maintain an environment that promotes academic achievement, integrity and mutual respect. In turn, we expect our students to be honest and cooperative in their behavior

Academic dishonesty:

Academic dishonesty is any conduct that involves dishonesty in academic work or that enables a student to obtain an unfair advantage in academic matters.

Academic dishonesty includes but is not limited to:

Cheating: intentionally using or attempting to use unauthorized materials, assistance, information or study aids in any academic exercise.
Fabrication: intentional and unauthorized falsification or invention of any information or citation in an academic exercise.
Plagiarism: presenting as one’s own the words, work, opinions or factual information of someone else without giving that person credit, as well as borrowing the sequence of ideas, the arrangement of material, or the pattern of thought of someone else without proper acknowledgement.
Lying: intentionally giving false information to or intentionally misleading anyone in connection with any academic matter.
Facilitating academic dishonesty: intentionally or knowingly helping or attempting to help anyone to violate any provision of this code or obstructing an investigation into code violations.

As an academic institution, the Department of International Management does not tolerate any form of academic dishonesty. All discovered instances involve the negative grading of the assignment or exam and, as a consequence, may result in a failure of the course. In the case of group work, the consequences will be extended to the entire team.
