The Institute for Algebra congratulates its member Manfred Buchacher on the successful completion of his Ph.D. studies. He defended his thesis "Algorithms for the Enumeration of Lattice Walks" today in front of his jury and a live audience of about 30 friends and colleagues.
The research presented in his thesis was carried out in the frame of the FWF-funded SFB program "Algorithmic and Enumerative Combinatorics" and has been published at ISSAC and FPSAC. We wish Manfred all the best for continuing his academic career and look forward to many exciting future collaborations with him.
