The European Group for Organizational Studies (EGOS), öffnet eine externe URL in einem neuen Fenster is one of most important associations of management scholars in Europe. EGOS members and the association’s main journal, Organization Studies, have been shaping the direction of management studies since decades. EGOS also closely collaborates with leading academic communities outside of Europe such as the Organization and Management Theory (OMT) Division of the American Academy of Management (AOM).

In July, Elke Schüßler, Head of the Institute of Organization Science, was not only voted into the Executive Board of EGOS, öffnet eine externe URL in einem neuen Fenster, but also nominated as Vice Chair of the association. In this role, she will be inspiring and leading a community of 2,500 members that represent 66 countries from all over the world together with the Chair Bernard Forgues from EMLYON Business School. Previous holders of these positions came from Copenhagen Business School and Vienna University of Economics and Business, among others. 

This esteemed leadership role adds to further ongoing scientific community leadership activities of Elke Schüßler, who is also co-initiator of the new "Digital Economy" research network of the Society for the Advancement of Socio-Economics, thus contributing to positioning the JKU competence area “Digital Transformation” firmly in the international scientific community.
