The article "Making an Impression Through Openness: How Open Strategy-Making Practices Change in the Evolution of New Ventures" by Thomas Gegenhuber and Leonhard Dobusch is forthcoming in the Long Range Planning Special Issue on Open Strategy (guest editors: Julia Hautz, David Seidl and Richard Whittington).
Drawing on a comparative, longitudinal case study of two new ventures' communication on strategy-related issues over a four-year period, Gegenhuber and Dobusch demonstrate that openness enables firms to shape external audiences’ impressions in novel ways.
