Dr. Mag. Benjamin Schiemer MSc

Benjamin Schiemer joined the Institute for Organization in 2016 as a creativity researcher and has worked there as a research associate since 2023. He is a sociocultural anthropologist and socioeconomist on his first academic path, and a committed organizational researcher since completing his dissertation at the Institute in June 2019, in which he explored the question of organizing creativity in physical and virtual settings. He is interested in studies of creativity/innovation, digitalization, organizational anthropology, and ethnography. He is currently investigating creativity in music in different contexts with a focus on temporality and materiality. He teaches theories and methods of organizational research with a focus on creativity/innovation.
