ECCE 2014 at the University of Vienna, Austria.

1 – 3 September 2014

ECCE 2014, the 32nd Annual Conference of the European Association of Cognitive Ergonomics, is the premier conference addressing the interface between cognitive systems and interactive artefacts. It provides an opportunity for both researchers and practitioners to exchange new ideas and practical experiences across all areas of cognitive ergonomics and cognitive engineering. This year’s theme is ‘Cognition in the Wild’. The focus is how, in the course of (systems) design and evaluation, the various contexts involved in cognitive modelling – such as those of domain structures, task competences, and learning capabilities – can be revealed.

The conference will take place on September 1-3 in the historic buildings of the University of Vienna, close to the city centre in Vienna, Austria. Accepted papers will be published by ACM in its digital library. In addition, Springer’s Journal of Interaction Science, öffnet eine externe URL in einem neuen Fenster plans a special issue with selected papers of ECCE 2014 by the end of the year.
