“Crowd Production with 3D Printing”

Martin Reiter (Institute of Polymer Product Engineering)

Distributed crowd production using 3D printing offers new opportunities for flexible manufacturing and closes the gap between rapid prototyping and large-scale production. A crowd production workflow implemented at the Institute is illustrated uses real-life examples of components related to the Coronavirus pandemic. An outlook about potential future applications for these kinds of production solutions will be given.

“Transfer: University's Third Mission Goals and Actions”

Christine Blanka (Institute for Entrepreneurship and Organizational Development)

In addition to research and teaching, the third mission of a university is a crucial pillar in which transfer and corresponding intellectual capital play a central role. Various types of transfer are the focus, depending on a university’s strategic direction.
