Admission Requirements

Prospective applicants to the program will be admitted based on the following requirements:

Students must have successfully completed a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or hold a comparable degree. (Note: degrees awarded by universities other than the JKU will be subject to an evaluation by the Admissions Office to clarify whether or not they meet the required standards. If the degree is not considered equivalent, students will be given an opportunity to attend required courses - in addition to the regular curriculum - during the first year of the Master's degree program).

Proof of English language proficiency at the C1 level in accordance to the European Frame of Reference. The requirement is waived for native speakers of English as well as for students graduating from programs that were taught entirely in English. Proof of proficiency in English can also be met by providing of the following certificates:

  • TOEFEL: (paper based: min. 600; computer based: 250; internet based: 100)
  • IELTS: (min. 6.5)
  • Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE)
  • Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English (CAE)

Student selection for the MGB - Troika program will take place during the last semester of the student's Bachelor's degree program or during their first year of the Master in General Management at the JKU. This means that students can also apply for this program during the fifth or sixth semester of their Bachelor's degree program in business related fields (e.g. Business and Economics, Social Economics, Sociology, etc.). As the program is conducted together with international partner universities, the number of spots in the program is limited. Students will be subject to a special procedure which includes an assessment of the following criteria by each program director:

  • Letter of intent / curriculum vitae / academic transcript of records
  • Interview in English

If you have any questions about the program or are interested in applying, please do not hesitate to contact Program Manager, Mag. Marion Ammer (, Institute of Organization and Global Management Education.
