Jakob Winkler, MSc

Curriculum Vitae

Jakob Winkler was born in Zwettl, Austria in 1994. He studied Embedded Systems Design at University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria in Hagenberg where he received his bachelor's degree in 2017 and his master's degree in 2019 with distinction. During his studies studies he was with DMCE Linz (an Intel subsidiary) as a working student in the field of verification and validation tooling.
After his graduation, he worked on digital architecture and implementation for RF measurement systems at University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria and Silicon Austria Labs in Linz and Hagenberg, and on embedded computer vision for industrial applications at Danube Dynamics in Linz.
He joined the Institute of Signal Processing at JKU in November 2022 where he is working towards his PhD focusing on algorithms and architectures for embedded machine learning.
