A.I. – Kasperl Intervenes.

An anarchic and wild puppet show featuring Kasperl's level of intelligence; by and featuring Andreas Pfaffenberger.

Suitable for ages 12+

Is artificial intelligence truly "intelligent"? Can a machine - a non-living entity - possess a sense of consciousness? Or is it just our own projections? Can something "artificially" created be able to think, be creative, or be imaginative? And most importantly, just how does all this happen?

A presentation about A.I. gets out of hand when someone intervenes that probably no one expected: a beloved and popular Austrian children's puppet, "Kasperl".

Just like a chatbot, Kasperl is not actually alive, and yet we are all too ready to accept him as a living counterpart. Neither cares if what they "say" is right or wrong, the truth or a lie. To a chatbot, these "human" categories don't matter, he/she/it simply produces output. Kasperl is a master in that anyway - anarchic, wild, with no regard to loss.

Regardless of whether it's Kasperl or Artificial Intelligence, it's up to us as to what we do with the content we are faced with.
