Following the sensational success of "Fascination Jellyfish" in July and September 2023, the Circus of Knowledge will once again include a performance about the mysterious world of these marine animals in its program: What on earth do jellyfish have to do with immortality and lowering blood pressure? Why do scientists call them "organized water"? Can jellyfish form states? Jellyfish have no brain, no heart, no lungs and no bones, so how can they still be animals? Explore these questions and more as we learn more about one of the oldest and most dangerous creatures of the seas.

As part of this musical dance performance, the ensemble of professionals and young performers has created an impressive, expressive form of "dehumanization", conjuring up mystical images of the Medusae. Costume designer Tanja Lattner was inspired by their stunning beauty and created luminous, vibrant designs, transforming the children and teens in the production into designers who take an upcycling approach.

A total of 80 audio tracks were recorded at music studios and feature the sound and rhythms created exclusively from collected plastic waste. Fiona Corray, a budding singer-songwriter, composed the production’s soundtrack. The moving song, "Lizzy - the Jellyfish", was penned by young vocalists involved in the HELIX projects’ VOICE community classes.

Christine Maria Krenn (director) and Christian Scharrer (performer) succeed in creating a link from the world of jellyfish to their own world in a very amusing yet haunting portrayal. Be mindful, acquire a sense of intuition, and use reason to open the door to the future - for us, for everyone!

A subtly, stunning visual piece featuring poetry and thought-provoking elements, inviting the audience to slow down, be profoundly moved, as well as deeply inspired!
