The JKU's Bachelor's, opens in new window and Master's degree programs, opens in new window in Artificial Intelligence is one of Europe's first academic degree programs in the subject area and there is no other comparable degree program in Austria.

Students can study AI in Linz, as well as at the JKU's Distance Studies Centres in Vienna and Bregenz, free of location constraints.

Faculty members teach the courses at the JKU campus; the courses are also live-streamed or offered in a video conferencing format. Recorded courses will be made available online. Students can take required exams in Linz, in Vienna, or in Bregenz.

Students enrolled in the JKU's Multi­media Diplom­a degree program in Law, opens an external URL in a new window can earn a law degree flexibly, free of time and location constraints. The program facilitates a high degree of autonomy and supports individually tailored learning styles, also by means of modern electronic study materials.

During the semester, students take part in ongoing courses (tutorials, study groups, courses that conclude with exams) online.

Students enrolled in the program can take written course examinations from anywhere in the world, and take oral examinations via video conferencing.

The NaSci-Tec program for school students is based on the Bachelor's degree program NaSci-Tec.

The program is unique in Austria as a technology-oriented, scientifically based introductory program that brings chemistry, mathematics and physics together.

The program gives school students an opportunity to expand on their understanding of these subject areas while also earning ECTS credits that will count towards their degree program. They can choose from the three subject areas and attend overview lectures in 3 semesters.

The distance learning program in Bregenz includes the University Enrollment Eligibility Examination, providing qualifications to enroll in an academic degree program of your choice at a university of your choice, or at a university of applied sciences, teacher training college, as well as at various academies and colleges.

Alongside on-site courses in Bregenz, there are individual courses offered online. The advantages include a greater degree of flexibility in terms of time and location, access to different learning methods, and a wider range of courses.
