The Bachelor's, opens in new window and Master's, opens in new window degree programs in Artificial Intelligence at the JKU is one of Europe's first degree programs in AI. There is no other comparable academic degree program in Austria.
In addition to studying in Linz, students can also pursue an undergraduate or graduate degree in AI at one of the JKU's external location in Vienna and, since Fall 2021, in Bregenz, as part of a distance learning program and with just a few days on-site in Linz.
Classes are held by faculty members at the JKU, livestreamed, and/or available via video conferencing. Classes are also recorded and made available online. Students can take examinations in Linz, Vienna, or in Bregenz.

The curriculum contains a balanced amount of base-knowledge classes in mathematics and computer science as well as specific topics in Artificial Intelligence, such as machine learning, knowledge representation, and language processing.
