Sichten 4.0

Industry 4.0 – the emerging paradigm of a digitalised, networked production – promises high productivity gains. However, many companies have difficulties in successfully implementing Industry 4.0 applications. One of the most widely stated reasons is the lack of interdisciplinary experts for engineering these complex applications. In the SICHTEN 4.0 project a software solution will be developed that allows specifying and implementing Industry 4.0 applications using only the existing qualifications in a company without the need for interdisciplinary experts.

Specifically, SICHTEN 4.0 has three objectives that go beyond the current state of the art and state of practice: Development of a tool for view-oriented engineering of Industry 4.0 applications, Development of an execution environment based on RAMI 4.0, Evaluation of these solutions based on a use case for predictive maintenance.
