Our fundamental attitude is openness, which is evident in all our activities.

In our research, we deal with the various forms of openness in organizations. Central to this are open, decentralized forms of organizing as well as open strategy and foresight processes. In analyzing these important phenomena, we integrate diverse theories and actively involve practitioners. At the same time, we open up by making our research findings freely accessible wherever possible.

In teaching, we open ourselves to the different and constantly evolving interests and needs of our students and external stakeholders. We achieve this by inviting guest lecturers, involving companies, and creating space for stimulating discussions among students. Transparency is our keyword, as we clearly communicate content, performance requirements, and evaluation criteria in advance. We also empower the autonomy of our students by giving them the opportunity to develop their own projects, tasks, and research topics.

In fulfilling our third mission, we emphasize transparency by conveying our research results in a way that they are understandable and directly applicable to practitioners. At the same time, we strive for integration and collaboration, such as by building partnerships with regional companies. This is about understanding their needs and sharing knowledge together.
