Digital Traces of Holacratic Organizing.

Holacracy is a radically decentralized and highly formalized organizational form. In this project, we leverage the fact that members of holacratic organization make intensive use of digital tools in their organizing practices (e.g. Jira, Assana, Glassfrog). This creates a host of digital traces that allow to reconstruct and analyze the growth dynamics of holacratic organizations. In cooperation with researchers from the Humboldt University Berlin and the LMU in Munich, we experiment with new ways to collect, analyze and visualize these digital traces in order to build new theory about self-managed forms of organizing.
