We are pleased to announce that the Linz Institute of Technology (LIT) has granted a 2-year position to Manfred Buchacher for working on problems in elimination theory for polynomials and rational functions.

With this grant, Manfred will be able to continue his important work on developing algorithms for solving functional equations arising in various branches of enumerative combinatorics. We congratulate him on getting his proposal accepted, welcome him back at the Institute for Algebra, and wish him success with his project.
