Master's Program Computer Mathematics

A new curriculum will come into effect in October 2020

Symbolic, algebraic, and logical techniques are getting more and more important in all parts of mathematics as well as in applications. This area at the boundary between mathematics and computer science, which we subsume under the name Computer Mathematics, has been an active research area in Linz for decades, and it still is.

In our master's program, we have also been teaching Computer Mathematics for many years. In a joint effort of several institutes, the curriculum for our master's program has been heavily modernized during the past few months, and we are happy to announce that the new curriculum has now been approved by the senate of the university and will come into effect in the upcoming winter semester.

Detailed information about the program is available on the JKU website and in the curriculum, opens an external URL in a new window (PDF). For additional information, feel free to contact Manuel Kauers.
