Development of a Flexible Content Authoring Process for e-Learning Environments

The didactic preparation of e-learning materials can have a significant impact on learnability. Didactic knowledge should therefore be an important component of every learning environment and learning materials. Concepts that anchor this didactic knowledge in the learning materials are almost as numerous as the learning theory approaches that can be mapped using these concepts. This paper aims to make the range of didactic concepts transparent. By identifying the most widespread approaches and describing them in a structured way, a selection is presented to developers and authors of educational programs and can serve as a decision-making aid. The approaches to the didactization of learning materials are described on the basis of eight characteristics. Among other things, the procedure for applying the concept is shown using a suitable reference process model.
Reference process model and describes concrete methods for implementation as well as the support provided by tools.
