Paper "Towards Heterogeneous Multi-Dimensional Variability Modeling in Cyber-Physical Production Systems" accepted for the 4th Intl. Workshop on Variability and Evolution of Software-intensive Systems (VariVolution), at SPLC 2021.

Our paper "Towards Heterogeneous Multi-Dimensional Variability Modeling in Cyber-Physical Production Systems" has just been accepted to be part of the 4th Intl. Workshop on Variability and Evolution of Software-intensive Systems (VariVolution), at the 25th ACM International Systems and Software Product Line Conference (SPLC 2021, https://splc2021.net/, opens an external URL in a new window) (authors: Hafiyyan Sayyid Fadhlillah, Kevin Feichtinger, Lisa Sonnleithner, Rick Rabiser, Alois Zoitl). We congratulate our PhD Sayyid for his first paper!

It identifies the challenges of expressing CPPSs' variability while also supporting their configuration and ensuring consistency during their co-evolution. It discusses our idea to solve these challenges using "Heterogeneous Multi-dimensional Variability Modeling", an approach that allows to relate variability models created in different disciplines relevant for CPPS engineering, using different modeling approaches to express the variability that is relevant for them.
