LPIC-1 Certificate successfully acquired

Keeping Up-to-Date Through Life-Long Learning. Ing. Christian Höfler Successfully Passed LPIC-1 at the Beginning of February.

Druing times of rapidly changing work environments, knowledge becomes an important success factor. In order to meet the current qualification and information requirements, Ing. Christian Höfler completed the LPIC-1 in the multi-level Linux Professional certification program of the Linux Professional Institute (LPI). The Linux Professional Institute (LPI) has created an international certification for system administrators with its LPI exams. The LPIC-1 is designed to test and certify system administration skills. The learning objectives are based on real-world professional requirements. For the LPIC-1 certification, two exams with the following topics were successfully passed:

Exam 101

  • System Architecture
  • Linux installation and package management
  • GNU and Unix commands
  • Drives, file systems, directory structure and Filesystem Hierarchy Standard (FHS)

Exam 102

  • Shell, scripts and SQL
  • User interface and desktop
  • Administrative tasks
  • Important system services
  • Network basics
  • Security

The LPIC-1 certificate confirms successful course participation and certifies Ing. Christian Höfler's acquired skills. The head of the institute, Prof. Barbara Krumay, congratulated the graduate on his professional development. The internationally recognized certificate guarantees that work at the Institute of Business Informatics - Information Engineering is being carried out in accordance with the current state of knowledge. This makes it much easier to implement the upcoming projects and push advancements forward at the institute.
