On November 24th, 2023, Mr. Florian Zillner, BSc, MA, Group Controller in the TGW Logistics Group, gave the students of the “Basics of Management Accounting” course an interesting insight into group controlling at TGW as part of his guest lecture “Management Control in Practice”.

He described the requirements of the TGW stakeholders for group controlling and presented the structure and content of important reports and key figures for the supervisory board and management. Other interesting content included the budget and forecast process as well as an example of project controlling, which is an important control instrument for the multi-year projects typical of TGW. In the 2022/23 financial year, TGW generated around 956 million euros with 4,400 employees at 24 locations worldwide.
