General information

The management of companies and people has always been considered challenging and thus a central criterion for success. What makes Strategic Leadership particularly challenging today are technological, economic and social changes. These changes affect not only competition, but also how companies interact with their stakeholders, how they are organized, and how employees are managed. In the Strategic Leadership minor and major, you will learn basic tools and methods as well as theories and models to achieve strategic goals, develop organizations, and lead people.

In the Minor, we highlight fundamental current findings and discuss their usefulness in specific competitive environments with practitioners. This will give you an overview of relevant instruments, methods, models and theories. In the Major, the focus is not only on deepening individual aspects, but also on the practical application of the acquired knowledge. You will have the opportunity to further develop your knowledge and skills in practice-oriented seminars. In doing so, reflection on practical experiences with reference to theory creates awareness of the benefits and limitations of different concepts and methods.
