Open Research positions: Senior Scientist, University Assistant and 4 PhDs

Open Teaching positions: Senior Lecturer (PostDoc) and 4 External Lecturers (PhDs or PostDoc)
 

We are seeking highly motivated and talented individuals to join our dynamic research team in Machine Learning. The successful candidates will conduct research, lead projects, and / or teach central courses in the well-established “Artificial Intelligence” curriculum at the Johannes Kepler University.

Job description:

  • engage in the institute‘s teaching activities within the Artificial Intelligence curriculum.
  • supervise students; prepare and hold lectures in a thriving AI study program
  • conduct research at the renown Institute for Machine Learning
  • participate / lead projects with industrial partners

Requirements:

  • All positions
    • background in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Statistical Inference or related field
    • experience with programming in Python
    • strong written and verbal communication skills
    • willingness and ability to work in a team and to support students

What We Offer:

  • Senior Scientist (Research Engineer): On the basis of full-time employment (40 hours/week) the minimum salary in accordance with the collective agreement, CA Job Grade: B1 € 4.351,90 brutto (14 x per year), payment above the average salary depending on professional qualifications and/or experience.
  • University Assistant: On the basis of full-time employment (40 hours/week) the minimum salary in accordance with the collective agreement, CA Job Grade: B1 € 4.351,90 brutto (14 x per year)
  • PhD: On the basis of full-time employment (40 hours/week) the minimum salary in accordance with the collective agreement, CA Job Grade: B1 € 3.277,30 brutto (14 x per year)
  • Post-Doc: On the basis of full-time employment (40 hours/week) the minimum salary in accordance with the collective agreement, CA Job Grade: B1 € 4.351,90 brutto (14 x per year)
  • SL: On the basis of full-time employment (40 hours/week) the minimum salary in accordance with the collective agreement, CA Job Grade: B1 (PostDoc) € 4.351,90 brutto (14 x per year)
  • EL: ~1,325€ per semester per course (45min per week)
